New Years Resolution

JerryBolton

I had someone tell me some time ago,
that I want people to think like I do.
Furthermore I was asked to lighten up,
that made me feel like I was a whipped pup.

Then I began musing those words over,
on this day of Christmas Day of spices and myrrh,
after a while I dissected the words,
I decided I was a one-way bird.

My passion get stirred and, yes I get hot,
Sometimes I feel the urge to speak my thought,
Without regard for other points of view,
I just hit the keyboard and bad words flew.

A week from today is a brand new year,
and I do believe I shall volunteer,
A New Years Resolutions for me to make,
the words that hurts I shall put on the brakes.

I know that all should be happy with this,
though somewhere in the back I hear a hiss.
