On the mend

cynah Rae

I wanted it all,
You gave me just a fraction
And even then it was never enough
There was always one or more distractions
A bit of this, a piece of that
What's a man to do with all these options.
I gave you all of me,
On a silver platter
Ignored the warning signs
I'd fallen deep,
It was mind over matter.
In the end, only I was to blame
Because even when faced with the truth
I blocked it out and it all remained the same.
You can have it all back
The compliments, the promises
Including that little fraction
I'm done with it.
It may have taken me a while
And even though I may willow in sadness
That too will only last a while
No regrets, I forgive you.
Mind, body and soul
I choose to walk away in style.

Thanks a lot Chrissy, appreciate it. And definitely something that's relatable but like they say, you haven't lived until you've loved and lost ☺️
