big blue eyes

Aals

a mothers hand

a wedding band

a fathers kiss

a brothers bliss

a heart so soothed

just a kid, with nothing to loose

her big blue eyes, holds no lies

until one day she learns to fly

a mothers hand turned so pale

a wedding band gone for sale

a fathers kiss, no longer in existence

a brothers presence behind specimens

smoke filled rooms replace her residence

some blood take family for granted

God’s children have abandoned

abandoned a hope so near

to the souls and hearts who are afraid

to loose everything they hold dear

those big blue eyes still tell no lies

those rosy cheeks still glow the streets

until that day she takes a stand

she will never give up on god's hand.
