They packaged your broken body
leaving your debris in the tub
for your shattered mother to clean.
Soon people commenced their own living with somber knowledge,
of what you had done to yours and mine,
every one searched for motives
reasons and rational,
for your pains and sorrows
any signs of tears
echoes of calls for help,
looking for details of a life made so hollow.
Yesterday came your funeral,
friends, family and miscellaneous grievers
gathered too see through their obligation,
and they closed your casket because
your mother couldn't find your face
in the mess you had made.
These are the happenings
since you decided to be young and dead,
instead of the agonizing numb
that you told me of
when we were far too drunk,
and now that it's ended
You should know
that the days just kept going
just like we thought they would.

Eloquently written. It's so hard to see things from the survivor's point of view when we're struggling so much to just manage the next moment. When we've written off ourselves, someone is sure to be left with a hole. -- phoenix
its a good story line
say as much a you can
with less verbage and crisp rhyme
you have a diamond in the rough here. could be a shined up killer.
just saying cause you asked.
Wonderful write
