Fading Pride

poetboy123

From dusk til dawn, night til day

Sleep and dreams to take me away

From dawn to dusk, day to night

Unknowingly losing an unknown fight

An ignorance of my ignorance

Veiling my eyes to the untold

Too blanketed in fraud brilliance

Uncovered only by the bold

Until once by the beach tide

I met the man known as Fading Pride

"Through only pain conceived and falsehoods unwoven

Can you truly see true, though truth now barren"

He spoke, his words piercing in my heart

It shattered, the truth tearing it apart

Years have passed, a silence unspoken

As I bring forward the truth once stolen
