We are all trying to be
perfect
even if it may not exist.
We live off others words
that no one’s ever heard.
They're written through a screen
so no one see them being mean.
Typing and clicking,
mimicking
things they're told
People are so cold…
A cycle is created
that cannot be faded.
But we're just teenagers
so there is no rules.
We can be cruel
and it ruled
child's play.
One day
she was raped
because she vapes
and wore a skirt
so she was treated like dirt.
Left alone
in the cold
wanting to die
and wondering why,
Why her?
A thirteen year old boy
treated like a toy.
Told to kill himself
because he felt
no need
to be like other guys.
He wore dresses
but the messes
it created
were devastating
Called a fag
told to take a drag
so he'd become a man.
He came out as gay.
They said there's another way.
That he can be saved.
Due to her religion
her visions
were shut down.
Treated like a dog in the pound.
She was told she was nothing
so she prayed to be something.
Beaten with a bat
called a rat.
He spoke a different language
but that created
something vial in their minds
they wonder why
can he not be like them?
They sent him back
where he was still attacked.
In a poor place
with no grace.
Food and money are rare.
He could only bare,
so much.
It will always be this way.
I’m afraid to say
I don’t think I’ll see a day
when we’re not treated this way.
Equality?
More like mutanty.
A destruction of property,
of the minority.
