Survivors

Survivors

Blisters on my feet

Sweat on my brow

Burning in this heat

No turning back now

Remember what we sacrificed

Despite this endless pain

We took our chance and rolled the dice

Our dooms we hoped to feign

By blood and bone

With laughs and tears

As we have grown

Conquering our fears

However, with so many gone

Never able to witness the next dawn...
