A Honey Sun

BlindBeauty

A honey colored sun rises above the sky

A baby opens its eyes for the first time, to see tears in his ma’s eyes

A man dies, a smile on his face as he sees his lovers welcoming embrace

A rooster crows, eyes gleaming with pride, as it tells the farmer to rise

A honey sun is above the sky

A girl does a ballet in her father’s yard while she cries

A horse neigh pierces the sky, as it watches its child die

A boy sits on his porch, looking glum as can be, waiting for his love to come back to thee

A honey sun sets the sky

A family eats their dinner apart, not knowing the chances missed

A child tucks herself into bed, trying to block out her parent’s cries

A watch stops time, a man looks at the sky

Resetting the clock, he turns back time, hoping this time things will go right
