Bobbie Pin

dopeitscliff

It all began back when I was in the 12th grade,
Graduate in two months, a brotha feeling great,
First period me and my boys used to joke and play,
Talked to this girl named Bobbie, felt like I had it made
My last girl really played me like a pickup game,
I love too hard and get hurt so it's really hard to date,
But this girl was kinda odd, not quite the same,
She was more refreshing than a glass of lemonade
At first I didn't want her, let the truth be told,
Because the lies girls told me just got really old,
But I gave Bobbie a chance to see where it would go,
I told her "I think you're cool but let's take it slow"

Friday finally came where we would meet face to face,
It was prom night and I didn't have a date,
I had no plans so it would be the perfect day,
So we can just chill, laugh and conversate
She wasn't that far, she lived in East Oak Lane,
My pops drove me to her house so I wouldn't be late,
Fresh cut, fresh kicks, lookin clean without a stain,
And I brought an umbrella with me just in case it rained
I got out the car and then knocked on her door,
Her mom opened it, she was nice for sure,
Stayed on my P's and Q's, had to act mature,
She asked me one question then asked four or five more
About ten minutes later, Bobbie came down the stairs,
Had on a cute outfit to match her cute long hair,
In the back of my mind I'm screaming "Aw man",
She looked better in person than she did on the gram
I told her she look great, she said you too,
Her mom asking "what are y'all plans?" To go get some food,
She drove us up to Chili's in no time soon,
Me and Bobbie had some laughs, so the date went smooth
Afterwards we went to Target for a little while,
To look around and fool around, I even made her smile,
I couldn't even front or be in denial,
That this girl was special man, I hope she stays a while

May 10th, 2014 was a very good day,
I asked her to be my girl and she said "okay",
Now I was very confident enough to say,
"Cliff, that's your girl?" Oh her? Yeah, that's my bae
I put the date in my bio, and she did the same,
I hoped that I could keep her and that the feelings don't change,
But at the same time, I hoped that I don't get played,
Left looking like a dummy and feeling betrayed
Me and my homies' girls went to the same school by the way,
Because Little Flower got the cutest ones anyway
But back to the story of me and her,
She would be a tease and I would be a flirt,
There was a feeling that I had that I tried to swerve,
But it was too late, I messed around and fell in love with her
Now don't get me wrong y'all, I was very glad,
When I told her that I loved her, she always said it back,
Never been afraid to share my feelings on a track,
But I needed Bobbie more than Tyrone Biggums needed crack
She's the type of girl you prayed for until your knees cracked,
Someone who can recognize my flaws and oversee that

A month passed and we poppin like a soda can,
I just graduated and I was still her man,
I still loved her, and I was still her biggest fan,
It was summertime loving so we were getting tanned
She met my whole fam and they all loved her man,
Now she in the centerfold of all my future plans
But then things really started getting rough,
We were both super busy, barely talked enough
The only time we saw each other was on Saturdays,
I tried to make it work, but complaints just came my way
Eventually we both decided just to break up,
Worst part about it was that she destroyed all my love

You know what really hurts the most?
Someone saying "I'm sorry but I never really loved you tho"
Bobbie always said "I love you" but she never really meant it,
But in my book, that's called the art of deception
Now I know she had issues when it came to trust,
Her old dude did her dirty like a septa bus,
I tried to show her that I wasn't in it for the lust,
I let my actions speak louder because words just ain't enough
But she really had me hurt in the worst way,
There was a pain in my chest that wouldn't go away
The feelings I had for her kept surfacing,
I couldn't believe that my heart got broke again
This the second time love led me to crash,
Like I said I love hard, but I also love fast
Could you blame me tho? She was everything to me,
Everytime I was around her, I always felt so free
She was perfect for me in every aspect of life,
At one point I even saw her as my future wife,
But you made me feel like I got stabbed with a knife,
Now we gotta part ways so I said goodbye

I forgive you girl but I won't forget,
I hope all is well, and I wish you the best,
Of course down the road ill have a couple regrets,
But I'll never stop loving until I'm dead
