A Stolen Heart

Sefrin

In the gelid world, here and there in the midst of all that's fair, reflects the affection I long to bare. A heart that has missed it's pair, from the hands that bestowed it's glare. Now I wonder and ask where? By the enfeebling candle that throws it's flame to the west, I ask not in jest. Where am I to perambulate, in a world of fear and hate? As these hours upon me grow so late, I recollect a biting fate. The companion that sovereigns my heart, is my inner supplement art. Tis like the piercing of a bosom dart. In all the spoken words that scorn upon the frailty of dignity that's torn, it is thee who does sustain me from betrayals poisonous stain. Ye who exudes my heart not in vain, and shelters me from the outer bane. Thou who hast descended upon me your splendid rain. Nevermore will I embrace the mended pain. How it is so, that in my eyes I see you above all to be wise. So if the sun forsakes the day before the night should start, it is you who has stolen my heart.

Yes - your words ask why when love is so fragile the end should come as unexpected. Romantic lines written methinks to someone the other side of life here on earth and so heartbreaking to read.
