Jealousy

Est1598

He always makes me feel down

Yet he still wears the crown.

My mother loves him more than me

He’s everything I could never be.

His bragging is the devils game

I swear it’s driving me insane.

His ego owns me like a slave

I wish I could dance on his grave.

You call me crazy but you don’t understand

How he leaves with an empty hand.

Maybe if he wasn’t here

I would be able to laugh and cheer.

I wish he would just go away

As I cannot take another day

I don’t want to cry anymore

But his smile just leaves me sore

Then he ripped my heart away

When he hurt me bad that day

I’m crying on the bathroom floor

My mum is banging on the door

My soul has turned as cold as ice

Since his life is full of spice

Now I bleed here restlessly

That’s the power of jealousy.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Jealousy is a powerful force, a disease. Don't let it control you. You are worth more than it. My second poem, please give your honest opinion! I like criticism to improve my work. Thanks for the support on my last poem by the way. :) Love reading the poems on here, you're all talented people.

    This is very good
    I like the way you've
    Written it.. I've never
    Been a jealous person
    I'm more of a giver...
    I really like this....
    Well done...
