Lost

littlegoat23

All around the room I hear conversations swirl

I'm alone, withdrawn in my shell.

Millions of thoughts lightly brush my lips,

but they never escape.

I feel all alone, and out of place.

Not knowing where I belong in this class,

Usually I am able to connect...maybe those times have passed.

So here I sit with my thoughts while I try to blend in,

with my one comrade who will be with me until the end,

My precious paper and pen.
