No Time to Dream

Alex Arnot

Sleep what's needed and dream no more

Only enough for your energy restored.

May we keep you anxious of what't to come

And evermore your mind goes numb.

Inspired no longer by souls exposed.

Desire to create has decomposed.

Emptied your mind of wind and rain,

Kept you bound by iron chains.

So smile pretty and prepare to see

This vile prison we've made for thee.

Here you'll stay confined forever

Or at least until your soul is severed.
