THE SILENT VOICE

illia

my beloved, my clown

the man that can make me laugh,

even when I'm feeling down

silent slapstick

yet it can make me weep

oh my little tramp, what a legacy you left

lets see to it that all remember your name

deaf, no voice

but eyes that see your silent message,

one of love, light and laughter

for all and ever, always here in the ever after.

Thankyou,I'm glad there are Chaplin fans still out there. He should be taught in schools. Modern Shakespearean me thinks 😉

"The Silent Voice"! Such a paradox! Indeed the poem is deep and aptly named. Bless you.

Paradox one of my top listed words. Aint it just that 😉

You mean the phrase "Paradox is my top listed word." is another paradox meaning that you don't care for paradox! Am I reading into it? LOL
