Withered Hearts

Clark

Withered hearts
Are different for everyone

They are from mothers who think
They know how to discipline

They are from boys who
Don't have to have the children

They are from dads that
Couldn't avoid the crash

They are from dreams that
Will never be unmasked

Withered hearts have
Many different stories

They are from little boys
That want to play with dolls

They are from siblings that
Won't answer when you call

They are from girls
That don't look like the rest

They are from children
Forced to be undressed

Withered hearts come in
All shapes and sizes

No matter what happened
We are all prizes

Your poem revealed to me that its actually insightful and inspirational to read the poems of others. It has the ability to expand our consciousness and actually care about the views of others no matter what they are, deep but cool poem
