Breaking Surface

Lovett4166

Her Marilyn-esque pearl dress
swaying, drifting, upon the lively surface
standing out amongst the dark water
resembling a star lost in the black sea of the Milky Way
submerged beneath the lukewarm waters of July
subtle lake waves caress her
Her departure was cruel, a fatal result of another's sporadic impulse
the steps taken too the bridges edge, sadly gave her a rush of déja vu
For she is no stranger to the ledge
peace is the aftermath
her pain died with her
It's here she lies in her water casket
