An Illusionist's Dream.

kevin browne

sometimes when a wonder wonders alone
pieces fall apart, from it gather some unique
shifted up through the years because of time
left outside somewhere, damn the pouring rain
softens each step as learned in which way we go
turned around to vision to ask what can be seen
flying low with spirits whistling without sound
complications passed, did you ever hear them
teach listening to find what should be found
then silent night turned thunderous red and green
victory rang a bell that put an end to war and all
fading away high on a letter of alphabets I saw
grazed knees fell down so plug up some genes
inventions disowned by someone who never was
grasp deep down inside but not in my mind
fair with not just a lady, earl, nor with either king and queen
sat down beside you to soothe out philosophies
begin over they said so rewrite the Bible again
life left us in a stitch that didn't fit in a needle
worked out by someone who was never to be seen
so alter the image, that's if you have created one
perfectly fitting and moving with no direction in tow
this world we live in, it's like an illusionist's dream.
