I Deserve It Right?

Michelle Syd

I made you upset, Always me

Asking why?

Many days ignored,

Going crazy in my mind,

I deserve it right?

Tears streaming, heart breaking

It was always my fault, you could do no wrong

Killing me with every single disrespectful, degrading word ever spoken,

Tearing me down, since you knew you could

I always thought I could take the pain,

Days passing by, It's all my fault...

No truly I deserve it right,

Your story always superior,

My words wasted on a pointless explanation,

You wanted me at your mercy,

You got your feel of power for one moment,

I deserve it huh.. the pain you pushed on me,

I hurt myself, you couldn't possibly have done that, oh who knew..

I always deserved the disrespect huh..

Thanks for breaking me enough to walk away,

From the thing you perceive as "Love"

  • Comment from author about the poem: Someone broke me down because they knew I loved them. Everything was my fault and I always had to apologize even if I didn\\\'t do what they claimed. I did I loved them. Keeping them was more important than being hurt. I lost myself.
