Child Olympics

mammyo3

The odd shaped missile flying past my head

was a half eaten sandwich from yesterdays bread

Three javelins just missed my eyes

sharpened pencils, obviously in disguise

Gymnastics are one of the favourites I can vouch

three boys have bounced the life out of my couch

The long jump & high jump have taken there toll

each wall and door have a foot sized hole

The swimming events have left me reeling

it was the water pouring through the ceiling

Boxing and weight lifting are all great fun

till you see the black eye & bruising on my son

Then there's discus, hammer and skeets

several saucers. boots and a variety of meats

If you think the Olympics are great fun to see

just come to my house and see the pain financially.
