Valentine Heroin

The 2 A.M Writer

So full of you in my veins

Time to get another fix of your nicotine

Puff of smoke, love letters in February

Wishing you were dead so I'd finally wilt with peace

Hearing the moon fall into my ears is annoying

Thankfully you stitch my canals right up

...

Lazy is as the couch will conform

3 cushions, and I all see me

Ghosts of the past, the now, the inevitable

We all sit and suck on your controlling teats

And as you dry up, we whine

Dry you up, and we all wither

...

Chapped lips and numbing safety

My bubble is failing like the king's castle

Downfall brought by a siege, why do you lead it?

Why did you leave me?

Why did you deceive me?

Why didn't you breathe me?

Why didn't you grieve me?

...

And at the end of the day

At the end of the ceremony

As those bells ring and my eyes go gray

I'll make it known you get a postcard

...

Down I fall

No

Down we fall

...

  • Comment from author about the poem: Be infatuated/ dependent on a lover and when they leave you, you can't cope so you destruct. I'm loving the hopeless love tales
