Blinds

poetboy123

I looked into the mirror

Only seeing the surfaced image

It really was much clearer

Hiding an unbeloved adage

Even if it was day

And if I had looked through the window

I would only see night and say

"The world still has room to grow"

Though those words had a certain truth

I was blind where even the blind could see

Desperate unlike the other youth

Only hoping for what things could be

Now the blinds have unfurled

Light blazing through bestowed

Chasing back darkness to the edge of the world

Fighting against the despairful bode
