Crimson

The 2 A.M Writer

I feel as I did 2 weeks ago

Numbing light has drawn me like my moth brothers

We all swim into this being, ourselves

Dipping in my toes, my wings are far to damaged

I cry as I'm falling back down to earth

Earth, my land, my soil

Her soil womb, she has been fertilized

She can sustain me

I shall grow under her

And out her, her youth I shall take again

...

Another light

Another shot

Will I take it with more than salt pillars this round?

Will I make it through myself again?

I see the tiled floor

The bloody towel

The crimson regret

...

I shall only know when I do take the second step

  • Comment from author about the poem: A very calm and haunting piece. It's central theme is around the feeling of numbness when trying life again. Only you will know when you take the second step, if this time around you will live
