Stupidity

Squirrel

I throw away good food every night,
You won't see me in the garbage looking for a bite.
You walk out that is it,
You unplugged my heart told it to quit.
There is no down the road hopes and dreams,
I don't do that won't play with stupid schemes.
There was no hope from the start,
Feel stupid, like I was tricked to play a part.
You want to leave for one thing or another,
Here let me get the door for you brother.
Won't see me here sitting and wondering what might have been,
Won't be looking at the phone waiting, it's done, see you later friend.
See I have enough trust, respect and loyalty,
I'll be damn if someone isn't  going to treat me like royalty.
So say you did, yeah I can see clear I can tell ,
Just some sick joke, a stupid love spell.
To think yesterday my heart burned with love like a fire,
Now today second guessing everything, thinking your a liar.
It's not what you said, it's what you meant,
Hit me like an anvil, or a load of cement.
Want to tell me it was real,
what is real is my heart ripped out something you can't  feel.
Tossed every coin, crossed fingers and wished on every star,
Doesn't matter what you do, thing will be as they are.
Somethings aren't meant to last,
So go take your place, where you belong, in my  past.
Well it has worn off thanks to the final clarity ,
Don't make the mistake again, thinking this goddess needed your charity.
