She hid from him
behind
locked doors
and closed windows
In rooms of undecorated wall
and unpolished floors
She hid from him
On uncrowded streets
in plain sight she hid herself
in a deliberate unavailable
disposition
for years
now, she trapped
Trapped in layers of issues
that have grown too old and too stale
to recall their origins
And
she is tired
too tired to trace
the tracks
that led her to where
she at
to find her way back
She hid from him
She hid, well for far
too long
She hid from him
and
lost
herself

Great write, been there myself, but am slowly starting to get back in the game
Very beautifully written, yet so sad. A great lesson in love and loss and how time plays a huge role in everything we do or don't do. Keep writing. Love it
Very true words.
