Stopping Time

Eeva

I wish that I could stop time,

Just stop it for a little while,

To enjoy life without worrying,

About the future in store for me.

Just to do things for fun,

Check off my bucket list,

Maybe just take a nice walk,

And smell the beautiful flowers.

Just to sit outside,

Knowing that time isn't wasting away,

Speeding towards the future,

And never going back again.

A golden sunrise,

Lifting from behind a hill,

A winter days walk,

Fresh snow crunching under boots.

Just to stay still for a moment,

And breathe in deeply,

Knowing that time is paused, just for a little.

Then I'd click back on the timer,

Because you can't stop time forever.
