Sacramento

Edthepoet

Don't make a sound
Light up and drift away
The lines of your body
Set fire to my gaze

Hoops of cigarette smoke
Hit the Echoes of our screams
Lipstick stains on my throat
Soon distant memories

Don't make a sound
Lay back and fly away
Soon we'll be coming down
To play the matinee

I opened up the window
Rain came pouring in
I could chase the rainbow
Reflecting off your skin
But all the gold in Sacramento
can't buy where we've just been
