...So don't cry, my love.

Antoinette

Balls of fire so far that only a pin drop

Gleams in our view. Atop

The sheet of darkness so extensive

Light can only be apprehensive

On the other side of the world.

The air snapping between the curled

Wheels outside.

And the bellowing of time

crossing between what's yours and mine.

But we don't pay it any mind.

Your fingertips trace the shapes,

Curves and wet folds. Apes

Beat on their chest while I cling

helplessly on to yours and ring

At your name over and over.

Breath hard but move steady,

I promise you I'm ready.

Burn my neck just like those stars.

Squeeze my hips, make sure you leave scars

That remind me I'm yours. But don't

Break my heart. I trust you won't

Because you've pulled me together

And opened the forever,

Of two lovers together.

Two minds together.

Two hearts together.

And I promise to be yours forever.

I really do.

I do.
