If
I could
write the world
right
I'd
scribble
recipes with an
ingredient to expel notions of
discrimination and bury any sentiments of hatred
underneath thousands and
thousands of
kindhearted words until they are
long gone and
forgotten
I’d
jot down
whatever
word combinations
for
however
long I'd have to, to get my
brothers back to being their brother's keeper
and my sisters to realize they’re
greater than that which lies
between their
thighs
I'd
write
cures for diseases
and thesis to save endangered
species
I'd
compose
poems that could end wars
and bring peace to all
regions
I'd
write in
every handwriting
known to men throughout the Globe
that, truly "all lives matter"
I'd
script love in
every heart that could override sorrow
giving hope for
tomorrow
if I could write the world right
I'd
pen seeds
in paragraphs to form
chapters that could grow wholesome books
to educate the
masses
I'd
write
ancestral memoirs
that could reiterate the important need for
a village to raise
a child
I'd
specify through
scribe the roles of
a wife
of
a child
and
in bold capital letters it'd read
THE HUSBAND IS TO BE HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD
I'd
write
a manual
detailing mutual respect so all would know
what to expect
if
I could
if
I
could
only
write the world right
I
would

A beautiful poem. A wonderful concept! Loved it! Oh, if only it were that easy. You did an excellent job on this piece!
Very well done!
Maybe you have spelled out exactly what we all should be doing. Writing to provide hope, to bring people together, to solve problems. to promote peace. Let's all pledge to do just that.
Excellent theme, great write. - Phil A.
