Bodies

Corey

Even though, she could see
"for the meantime" in his eyes
and her heart recognized his words,
"I love you" as a lie
she swallowed them like
candy coated truth

Because...
it meant more to her
to have anybody's body by her's
than to be without somebody.

His 'goodbye' was unspoken,
but written all over her body

He had cum and gone

And once again
somebody, had her body
and she had nobody,

but...

her own

  • Comment from author about the poem: Some fear being alone so much they give themselves to others expecting only to relieve the lonely and sadly, some take advantage of that fear.

"The heart is the toughest part of the body," someone once said, and Thank God for that, so we can overcome the minds misuse of it. "Somebody, anybody, nobody," we've all been one of those at times. Used, misused, abused, but never broken. Loved your write - Phil A.

Sadly, there are always those willing to take advanatage--don't let them! Summon your strength.

Dford, sadly you're right. I wrote this directly after watching a movie. However, in my lifetime I've crossed paths with such somebodies who give their bodies and somebodies who take advantage.
          Thanks for reading!
