it
hurts
when ever I hear them
even
if it’s the
truth
its
not that
the words are foreign
to my ears
its
the fact that
feeling truly loved is
please…
please
be patient
promise to use kid-gloves
while managing to capture a heart
that’s been closed from
misuse
it
seems
since you
there’s a slight opening
where there
wasn’t
so…
I
know
I
can
get
there
because…
I
want
to
believe
you love me
I just need more time
more time to absorb the possibility of
those words being said
truthfully
after
hearing them
spoken for so long as lies
simply to keep me holding on to empty dreams
that led me here
stranded
where
I am alone
and too afraid
not to
be
at the same time
