When A Dove Flew Past.

kevin browne

the teardrops that fill a lonely empty glass with torn
and overflowing heartbeats that wait for winter to be worn
and that picture frame is the saddest thing you'll see
when whispers that silenced the thought of never coming back to me
in knowing that it bought me time and a place that love's inside
two hearts that flutter when cuddled up and laid beside
a comforting together after so many years gone distant
remembering the style, the look and her smile was always instant
believing it was touching when she kissed me on the lips one day
when a dove flew past us by and guiding us to lover's way.
