Something for the soul...

Mello

What surprises me is people who want to be rich
Longing to be a millionaire
That it becomes an itch
They want it all, they want more
For the gift of life they don't share
For the lost ,the despair they don't care
They linger on the idea of being a multi billionaire
What about god what about your prayer
Do you even dare to
Doesn't it even scare you
Did you forget that life is a test
And only god knows what's best

What surprises me is people who want to be famous
Surely there has to be more to life
Then being shameless
Then walking on glass sharp like knife
Surely you know fame is corruption
Maybe your hips are too big, lip injection
Your invested total complete consumption
Changing god's perfect creation
Every aspect of your life place under scrutiny
And now you're acting even more stupidly
Consciousness you just don't care
What about god what about your prayer
Do you even dare to
Doesn't it even scare you
Did you forget that life is a test
And that god knows what's best

So much we take for granted
Life and death it's a flow
So do you wish to stand before god empty handed
Only then will you have nowhere to go
The act giving purifies the soul
Turn to the creator,the sustainer
Let heaven be your only goal

A reflective poem! Socrates and his pupil Plato had emphasised that the Athenians ( Greeks in general) must take good care of their soul to become a good human being! Thanks for sharing! - Raj, New Delhi.
