Black Hole

Philip

Born with the death of a giant star

lies a black hole in our sky

Stars spin round the accretion disc

like a needle on a forty five

Gravity plays it's darkest tune

holding light against it's will

It's lawless physics hold a secret

infinite density

Meeting the event horizon all is calm

time stands still

Cross the horizon, theres no going back

Just black

What happens to or where is all the matter and energy absorbed by the black hole? One of the great mysteries of our time. Do all the black holes eventually consume everything? Do they then consume each other? Do we get a second Big Bang? Too many questions. Too few answers. Great poem Loved it. - Phil A

Yup, nicely put. Strange place this universe be.
