Yellow

Dawn

Yellow,
Brightens the mind
Opens the eyes
Dances across the iris
Light as a feather

Yellow,
A wild mustard flower
Whirred around in the cool breeze
Alone in a vast field of soft green grass
Radiates like a beacon of hope

Yellow,
A bitter sweet perfectly ripe lemon
Dangles from a delicate branch
Crisp and glowing

Yellow,
Children laughing
Basking in the warmth
Of the sweltering sun

Yellow,
Unbreakable the strength
Of its influence
Bright and beautiful
Dispels dolor

Yellow,
Illuminates cracks in the wall
Where darkness hides
Expels the evil lurking
Unseen but always known

Beautifully done. My wife's grandmother said, " you need a little yellow in every room."
