I should be sleeping
And yet I'm not
I should be dreaming
I'm lost in thought
Sleep should set me free
Horror my night eyes see

Once I dreamed of magic lands
Now I dream of reality
Once I dreamed of singing bands
Now I dream of real me
Why sleep if my fears come awake
Now in my sleep I ache

I feel sleep draw near
My eyes draw shut
Before morning's work is here
My consciousness I cut
We must all sleep
Awake I cannot keep

I should be sleeping
And yet I'm not
I should be dreaming
I'm lost in....
