Walkingmare

Maichael

I’m having sick dreams in middle of the night

That makes me scream like the first time flight

And if no one can hear me or see me

Than who’s going to save me

I tried to yell it out loud so they can hear me

But there’s no sound that I can’t even hear me

My demons are telling me

Better give yourself up just to make it

And with that I can’t pretend it or fake it

Maybe I should just take it

But I know my soul you can’t really replace it

My body you can’t really reshape it

My heart you can’t really claim it

And my mind you can’t really erase it

So I tried to open my eyes to see the light

But it seems like its real life

Finally, I woke up

And I thought this can’t be right

But I’m still spooked up

Knowing that it’s only a nightmare

So I tried to get up

But I couldn’t stand up

So I tried do my prayer

Hoping Father you are aware

Because I know this is unfair

Asking can you please take me somewhere

The dreams you gave me got me no where

The tools you gave me I didn’t mean to waste I swear

Before I finished talking

I heard a sound, are you finished talking

Because the whole time I was sleepwalking

  • Comment from author about the poem: Just think of it as being in a dream while in a dream but waking up in reality and realizing you was dream walking the whole time... Does that make sense?
