On thy barque afloat,

The waves giveth thy might,

To keepeth the going fia,

Trying nay to behold back traveling,

Lamp as bright as happiness befall,

Yet I gaze upon but black and white

  • Comment from author about the poem: (On a sail boat floating \r\nThe waves give me strength \r\nTo keep going, forward\r\nTrying not to look back\r\nSun as bright as happiness \r\nBut all I see is black and white )\r\nThere is a path to go forward and not just standing there. There is happiness everywhere but you have to quit looking back.
