I forgot, so call it catfishhouse blues

somedude

It seems I had forgotten the feeling,

bumping in time with that fan on the ceiling,

a mild embarassment when I realized she totally knew how much I was enraptured,

the ghost of her smile then played with my eyes and I knew I'd just gotten myself captured...

Began just like a shiver or a tremor, felt them eyes burning,

began when I began to feel those eyes burning into me,

with a smug grin on my face like I'd just composed a symphony,

but those eyes perceived what a joke it was all to me.

My self critique and analysis tends to bind me in paralysis but this time y'all... I was playin,

forgot what the hell I'd been saying and moved on in time with that fan on the ceiling.

It seems I had, almost, forgot the feeling.
