We all miss you very much

There's a yearning in my heart, confusion in my head
The words left unspoken, me knowing that your dead
Everyday I see mum hurt, she was your loving wife
Leaving a hole in her heart, an emptiness in mums life

There are nights I wake up crying, wishing you were here
To hold you in my arms, wanting to turn back this year
Wiping away my tears, knowing it's eating me up inside
Trying to be very strong for mum, emotions I try to hide

You always said to me that, "given time people will forget"
Not me Dad I certainly won't, on that you want to have a bet
For me you'll never be far away, coz we were two of a kind
You taught me all I know in my heart, my soul and my mind

Sitting by your graveside, Is what I find really hard to bare
Telling you what's been going on, while I shed another tear
For no-one will ever know, the pain that lies deep within
We are coping differently, Though we all think the same thing

It breaks my heart coz I never thought we'd ever be apart
One thing I'm damn sure of, you'll always be close to my heart
Nicole, Charlene & Karen, they miss and talk about you all the time
Saying "Papa is the brightest star in the sky that will always shine"

We all love and miss you very much, we know that you can see us
An right now you'd be saying "here you lot don't make any fuss"
As you all promised you'd take good care of my wife, your mum
Because Dad as you always said "In this life you only have the one"
