A single moment rests in silence
Broken only by a little creek of hope
And from that creek, a stone defiant
Rests close to me forevermore

Great write
Loved it. A great image expressed cleverly and clearly. Every word matters. Great write.- Phil A.
What it says to me is that hope is the rock upon which we can go on when the going is tough. I love the rhyme between silence and defiance. Enjoyed.
You got it just right! Lol meter, rhyme, and other literary devices are the seasonings with which we craft the metaphorical Crab and Mushroom Risotto of poetry. Thanks for reading.
