Autism has a name

Cookiemiller

His name is Cameron...
An autistic boy so loving and caring..

He may be different from me and you....
He doesn't see the world the same as we do....

Bright lights and loud noises upset him so much....
An unusual smell, or somebody's touch...

When you look in his eyes and he looks away....
He is not being rude he just doesn't know what you say....

Every day seems like a test.....
He is trying so hard to be just like the rest.....

If we only saw things from his point of view....
People wouldn't say the mean things that they do....

He also has hypotonia and his body might ache....
I wish I could take it away and give him a break....

With all that he is going through...
If you we're sick he would be the first to want to take care of you....

His feelings and thoughts may be in a cloud....
But he is our Cameron and makes us proud..

He is our special gift from up above...
An autistic child for us to love....

His Autism is here to stay....
But we wouldn't change him any way...

He is perfect the way that he is...
Live your life and cherish his....
