Step: One

Kebiin

Hold my tongue from me,

For I will not in the face of my enemy.

Take my hand for your own,

Before it is given to another as a loan.

Have my heart while it bleeds,

Before I take an arrow to the knee.

Be the rock He placed in my life,

For sand will fail in the wind of strife.

Self control is where I am weak,

But do not allow me to be meek

Where I am needed to speak.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is a simple verse poem that I hashed out in the middle of one of my classes, it speaks of how I am not perfect and nor will I ever be. The poem itself explains my imperfection in dim detail, but it also explains my standards which I have only had just recently, maybe I'll come up with a creative way to write about that if I haven't already. Enjoy!
