Mum this is for you

Caroline Lowry

Mum this is for you

Mum when I look at you now all that I see

Pain and anguish, you suffering how it hurts me

Why did our dad go leaving you all on your own

Time has taken it's toll, your sadness is shown

It's hard to cope with you feeling this way

Praying so much you'll get better each day

Four months gone by, but you need more space

It hurts so much seeing a blank look on your face

I can't handle the fact no words are spoken

Deep down inside me knowing your heart is broken

Here's hoping you can rebuild your life back up

Changing for the better with any god given luck

For now the past is the past you can move on

I know it's more easier said than it is done

Were all trying to be here for you one by one

To look after you who is our number one mum

It all takes time it's a healer or so they say

Yet it's so hard, but you'll get there some day

Every word I've written in this is so very true

Within my heart I know our mum will pull through

All My Love

Caroline

Very good job on this poem. My heart breaks for what is happening in the poem. But, I feel hope, as well, that things will be OK.
