A true friend

WG7

You came above the hole I was living in

You told me the demons won't ever win

Your hand was stretched out for me

All I have to do is grab it then see

You took me from the darkness

I then started to hiss

You told me don't run away

Told me not to just lay

You helped me see the light

Told me to always fight

Never ever let fear control me

Never make someone leave me be

Told me to always try to trust

And loving myself was a must

Only then did I learn

You wanted to fall and burn

You helped me see all the good

Now I had to help and lift the hood

We saved each other

We saved them heartbreak - our mothers

You got yourself some help

Said if I ever needed you just yelp

We are together to live

Spread happiness and always give

Never ever believe the voices

If you have to - block out the noises

Just think about your life

What won't you be able to do if you used the knife
