"She"

dopeitscliff

Who is she?
She is the first girl I ever laid eyes on,
She is the first girl to ever hold me in her arms,
She is the first girl to protect me from harm.
She is the first girl that I have ever loved,
She is the one who took care of me when I was sick,
She is the one who fed me when I was hungry,
She is the one who bought me those M&M minis at the check out line at the supermarket after begging her constantly,
She is the one who beat me without mercy for writing on the wall,
But you know what? She is the one who wiped away the snot and tears and comforted me through it all.
She is the one who showed me how to do the nine times table with my fingers,
She is the one who cheered me on at my basketball games,
She is the one that introduced me to old school hip hop,
She is the queen bee that showed me how to treat the girls honey sweet,
She is the one that passed down patience to me,
She is the one who told me to not be afraid to be myself
She is the one who helped me keep my faith through the worst of times.
She is my number one supporter, my teacher, my motivator, my special lady, my best friend.
She, is Tamara Denise Bryant, my mother.
