mine but not mine

K.T Williams

my eyes would find you in any crowd.

it would be impossible

for my ears to not recognize your voice.

the touch of your skin and rifts of your hair,

my fingers have memorized.

the musky smell of your skin after a long day

is my favorite cologne.

your laughter brings me joy

and a smile stretches across my face.

you're cheeky grin that makes you look five again

makes me erupt in a chuckle.

i love to see you happy

you're so alive; filled with so much passion

and emotion

you're memory lingers

in my head for what seems for eternity

i don't want to think of a world without you in it
