Your face is grim
The sword held strong
Thwr enemy strong
But your will stronger
The battle long
Though weary you go on
Friends fall left and right
Medics losing hope
As you wake another day
Pills upon the table
Chemo scheduled till forever it seems
You still fight on
Death is your enemy
Is strong yet you still fight
Soon sweet relief arrives
For death is beaten till another day

This is for my dear aunt in law who lost to cancer. She was always a fighter. May she be happy wherever she is
Beautifully written. Made me cry. Love you
