Opinions

Tris Eaton

Opinions
Everyone has one
And they all stink

Opinions
They can be hurtful,
Harsh words
The enders of friendships
The starters of wars

Opinions
Only seem ok
When you agree

Opinions
You may think they're right
But someone else won't
They should be thought about
Before they are released

Remember
Knowledge is knowing what to say
Wisdom is knowing when to say it

  • Comment from author about the poem: Everyone has started to tell me what they think about some things before they even realize how I may feel towards them saying that. I mean seriously people think before you speak please.

This is very true. I often realize, right before I say something cruel / insensitive, that wisdom and knowledge should be taken into account before whimsy and opinion.

you are one of the few that actually do that and the world. I'm sure, benefits when someone decides to keep their mouth shut

Yup. Or, as it has been said, "when you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
