Running Blind

AshleyBerkelmans

I coast and I've tried to rewind my psyche
Living a lie
With my face painted brightly

How many times will I play same track
Same words
Same place
I just pray this will end

Back breaking torture that you'll never see
You're square eyes their drawn to that big movie screen
With the notions and fiction that you all believe

If we are not awake
Then I guess we're all asleep

Bend the knee you see a light
Escape it how you please

But I promise we move
Think
And all bleed

On the same dull,
Soul sucking
Fucking frequency

Wake up
Wake up

How much louder can I scream
Shall I shout it in your face until your eyes they become weak

Red like mine
Do you think I ever sleep

Well if I'm awake
Then trust me
I'm never letting myself dream

This is how they get you
Do you hear them when they claim

Fake acts of terror keep you up
But cancers just a game?

Give the governed all a gun they'd trade you in for scrap

All I need is four lines in a verse to show you what I have
