Justice Drought

poetboy123

This world is filled with silence

I hate it as it enters my ears

Before I die I want to hear it once

Screams and yells despite the fear

I'm not saying there's only evil

There's too much good staying quiet

Until the uproar, we limp with a broken ankle

Instead of becoming a streaking comet

So I beg of you, let out your voices

Orchestrate them against the horrors and agony

Express your fury at their terrible choices

Paint the future YOU want to see

I won't let you be silent, no more time

Learn, grow, roar back against the night

Find the vigor, look at the mountain, climb!

End the eternal darkness, return the light!

Erase the invisible, artificial boundaries

Grasp onto each other's hearts

Crash through this prison, finally free

Take the lies and hate, tear them apart

A time for action, is a time for truth

Use it as your weapon, forget your ruth

End the silence with one quick quip

Ride the stormy waters among the ship

Hand in hand, time's running out

Cornered from all sides, forget your doubt

Use the truth, let out a shout

Terminate the Justice Drought
